STIHL AP Strop Adapter – MSA T

The AP strop adapter has been designed for STIHL top-handle arborist chainsaws, lowering the overall weight of the chainsaw and moving the weight of the battery to your climbing harness. It lets you make more cuts and makes working over long-periods of time much more comfortable. The adapter fits into the battery compartment of the chainsaw and transfers power from the battery, which sits in the holster, providing an overall better power-to-weight ratio than a petrol top-handle chainsaw.  Plus, the strop serves as fall protection for your chainsaw during work. An emergency release function and overload protection are fitted to the holster, and the protective sleeve of the strop can be replaced if damaged or suffering from wear. 

To use the AP strop adapter, attach the ring of the holster to a belt carabiner on your climbing harness. Then, insert the AP adapter into the battery compartment of the chainsaw. Fasten the rope attachment eyelet to the flap on the chainsaw using the metal carabiner. Finally, insert your preferred AP System battery into the holster.
