The compact and rapid rubber track carrier Dumper 406 is ideal for the transport of any kind of material in different sectors such as agriculture, zootechny, industry and gardening. The completely mechanized traction allows the full exploitation of the engines power. The rubber tracks with chain links made of steel and the optional engine types are the basis for a useful carrying capacity of the body 400 kg
The body with its floor and side boards made of steel, has a wide load platform and is equipped with hooks to secure the load. The load bed can be enlarged and the side boards can be blocked horizontally enabling large bulky loads to be loaded The body was manufactured in series with manual front tipping and is assisted by gas struts in order to reduce the necessary effort when tipping a load.
Dumper 406 is compact and has a low centre of gravity. These characteristics ensure an easy drive in all safety, especially on slopes. The rubber tracks allow traction under all types of soil conditions and give the right stability and safety especially on soils with little load bearing capacity, crumbly soils or steep slopes. No soil type is too difficult for Dumper 406!
The mechanic gearbox with gears in oil bath, 3 forward and 3 reverse gears allows a speed of 3,5 km/h.
All control levers of the Dumper 406 are ergonomic and easy to use. The levers were designed to reduce the necessary force of activation; the result is practical and simple to operate controls. The steering system of the Dumper 406 developed by Grillo allows modulating gradually the drive and by acting on the steering levers. Dumper 406 can make very tight curves by keeping one rubber track locked as well as with a modulated radius also a wide radius. It’s that easy! During the first movement of a steering lever traction is taken away from one of the two steering levers and, by continuing the movement, you will progressively slowdown the rubber track by means of the brake drum. This is the secret of the Dumper 406’s extreme manoeuvrability!
The Dumper 406’s rubber tracks are supported by steel rollers mounted on bushings and grease points. These are very important features to ensure high reliability and longevity over the years. The rubber track’s front inclination favours surpassing steps and obstacles of whatever kind.
Dumper 406 is a safe machine! It’s possible to stop the Dumper 406 quickly at all times by simply releasing the control lever. The automatic brake of the carrier will activate immediately ensuring an immediate stop even with a maximum load and also on slopes up to 48%!
You have the possibility to choose among three available petrol engine types, i.e. Subaru EX 17, Kohler Lombardini 3000 and Honda GX200. All engines adapt modern solutions guaranteeing reliability and make manual start-up with recoil starter reliable and easy to use. Low emissions, reduced consumption and high performance.
Varnishing of Grillo machines consists of a double electrostatic powder coated process. At the first stage are the washing baths and the preparation. Then, a first protective coat is applied which, together with the baking in the oven, turns out to be the best base for the application of the finish. The second coat consisting of powder and further baking in the oven at 190°C, this then gives the characteristic hardness and brilliance. . All machines have been assembled with care for every detail and tested scrupulously by specialised personnel. Final inspection includes running the engine with weight to simulate a load! This is your further and final guarantee of a high quality product.
