The Silky Nata is a unique ‘machete’ from Japan. There are two
versions: the single ground (sharpened on one side only) is used
for chopping off small branches, debarking trees and layering
hedges.
The (sharpened on
both sides) is used for splitting wood.
Both versions come in two lengths – 210mm and 240mm.
The blades are made from a special alloy using traditional Japanese
sword steel making methods and is designed to keep its edge longer,
even with continual use.
The Genki rubber grip absorbs the shock, the vibrations are hardly transmitted to the hand or arm, making it ideal for heavy duty applications. The blade is perfectly weighted to swing smoothly to ensure a very efficient cut.
Comes with a hard plastic sheath and easy-release belt clip.
Chopping is often faster than sawing or cutting. The Nata is
a cross between a knife and an axe. The blade is perfectly weighted
to swing smoothly to ensure a very efficient cut. Ideal for de-limbing
and clearing brush.
The semi-square tip of the Nata helps put
weight-forward and gives good balance plus the rubber handle gives
great grip and takes almost the entire “jarring” effect
that machetes can have.
The blades can be resharpened using a normal whetstone.

The Nata is forged in SKS-51 (JIS) steel. The single and double
edged ground blades are made using traditional Japanese sword
steel making methods and is designed to keep its edge longer,
even with continual use. The non-slip Genki rubber handle is designed
to reduce impact on the hand by up to 60% making the Nata ideal
for heavy duty applications.
The Nata comes complete with a hard ABS plastic sheath and easy-release
belt clip similar to all Silky saws.
